Here are a sample of photos taken at recent drum workshops I run. I can pace the level to suit you, whether you're a complete beginner or a more experienced drummer - the main thing is that we have a lot of fun!

Drumming at Lindfield Arts Festival, 2015

Drum Community play at Lindfield Arts Festival, September 2015

We busked at various 'busk-stops' around the village - did an encore and got people up dancing, then ran a sell-out drum workshop!

To meet popular demand I'm starting a beginner's drum workshop soon. Please contact me to enrol and join this special group.

Performing again at Lindfest 2016!

Big thanks to the 'Lindfield Drummers' above - (left to right) Fiona, Paul, Roland, Tina, Ian, Tim, Peter, & Diana

Rotherfield Fiesta 2014

Had a lot of fun providing improvised percussion for this opening event on the green! My mate Bucarr N'Dow was leading the drumming, ably supported by me and local video producer Ed Paterson.

Here's a YouTube clip by Ed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lf9nJ6LuyT0

Beach in The Gambia to relax on after drumming!

Welcome to my website that introduces myself and the drumming I offer. Please have a browse around to find what you need and then contact me for more information.

I mainly cover the East Sussex/West Kent area, but am negotiable. Current workshops are running at: Lindfield, near Haywards Heath, Sevenoaks in Kent, Westerham in Kent, and Hadlow, Kent. Want to sample first? 'Drum taster' (approx 30 mins) to see if you like it! £5 only. 1-1 tuition: if you'd prefer not to be part of a drum workshop and have 1-1 learning time to go at your own pace. Please contact me for a quote and to set up a date when we could meet. The concept behind thedrumcoach is to make funky West African rhythms available to adults and teens in a friendly and fun learning environment. It's a not-for-profit enterprise so contributions go to various good causes and charities in West Africa, mainly in The Gambia.
