Summer Drum Day normally run on a Saturday in July (date tba)
Tt's a fun, outdoor summer workshop featuring a mix of easier to learn rhythms and some more tricky rhythms for intermediate drummers. It's not for complete beginners, so if in doubt about your level of playing do ask me!
What's the drumming day all about?
We will play some new extended rhythms to stretch you a little and to learn to play in a bigger ensemble. No 'walks of shame' - drum solos (unless you want to!).
We will major on djembe playing of course, but we will also play dun-duns so we can have some fun playing the 'bass parts' too. This workshop is not for complete beginners so only pass on invite
friends or family if they're more experienced to at least 'improver' or 'intermediate' level. If in doubt ask me.
What are the details?
Times: From 10.30am start with a warm-up, ending around 4pm. Bring a picnic lunch to share!
Venue & location: tbc
Cost: £20 for early bird bookings until July 14th; £25 after that. Djembe hire for the day costs £2.00

Corporate team building workshops
I also run workshops for corporate teams and groups either on-site or at a nearby external venue - a great way to bring the team together using rhythm to connect members to take collective responsibility, and fun!
As a trained facilitator, I can bring out the key issues the team need to face and work through using music as the medium. I have some excellent and skilled colleagues who can help me with larger groups or events.
Please email me to enquire about rates and dates, and to say more about what you need: rhythms@thedrumcoach.org
The Lindfield Drummers played Forest Row Festival, Sept 23rd 2017
The Lindfield Drum workshop crew played on stage at Forest Row Festival and ran a 'drum taster' workshop for adults afterwards.
Thanks so much guys for playing really well today! Best compliment received was from a punter who said "hey, you guys are really tight!"
